Late last week Sneaker News reported the October 6th release date for the highly-anticipated Nike Zoom Rookie ‘Galaxy’. A different version of that shoe - a collaboration with Sole Collector magazine – was confirmed some time ago, and it appears that those will in fact release a bit earlier. This Friday, the SC x Nike Zoom Rookie ‘Galaxy’ will become available exclusively through their Sole Collector iPad Issue 11. Of course, you’ll not only need an iPad, but the downloaded September issue, so make sure you set that up for this Friday’s release. Full information is just ahead, so prep for this Friday’s release and let us know if you’ll be on the hunt.
Here’s how to download Sole Collector’s iPad Issue 11 this Friday afternoon, September 28th, for an opportunity to purchase the limited edition Nike x SC Galaxy Zoom Rookie:
- Search “Sole Collector Magazine” in the iPad App Store & install.
- Open the Newsstand App on the Home Screen of your iPad and open the Sole Collector Magazine App.
- Locate “Sole Collector Issue 11: September 2012″ and “Buy” to download for an opportunity to purchase the Nike x SC Galaxy Zoom Rookie.
- Once downloaded, open iPad Issue 11 and locate the Galaxy Nike Zoom Rookie product page. Select your size and “Add To Cart” to begin the Checkout process and place your order.
- Quantities are limited, and orders are restricted to 2 pairs per person.
Biggest scam ever. Waited all day for the "4pm picific" time release and they randomly released the magazine around 6:40. Clicked on it and SOLD OUT! Sucks! Life goes on. But if they had sum quota to meet I'm sure they did now. Damn jus really let down. And why 2 per customer? Nobody got 4 feet. U only need one pair.
You people do realize that this is the sole collector version and not the regular galaxy rookie that comes out next week, get ur panties out of a bunch
jus release da damn things have hella police present and everybod only get one pair unless they are gettin uh pair for someone and they need ta have proof of that . Simple
So I'm guessing they have a crap load of this edition if the limit is 2 per person! Honestly limit should be 1 for sneakers like these, just asking people to put a $800 resell price tag on em
so they are not releasing one on the 6th at all or is this just a special version of the galaxy rookies?????
Nike is getting outta control with all this limited bs. Couldn't get the LeBron 9 MVP Pack because there were only like 400 pairs strictly in Miami. Couldn't get Yeezy 2's because they only hit certain retailers. Couldn't get ParaNorman Foams cause you had to submit a super creepy childhood pic. Now, can't get these because I have an iPhone, not an iPad. What's next?
they got mfuck@s runnin thru hurdles n s#!t for a damn shoe??..this is a bit lame guys!! just a tad bit
That's some old bullsh*t i saved my money for these any look at what happens nike threw us a quick one guys like they did with the galaxy foams they cancelled the nike.com release 1week before they came out.
I have an iPad & all but dis is such bullshit... its gettin to a point where every shoe release is gonna b online only & even then u will have to do a dam raffle to wait in line cyberly.... fuck nike yo... in seriously considering to stop buyin nike products. They make thing to difficult on top of makin few quantities. Raffles, twitter rsvp, now iPad & app bullshit... outta control
@Miggy V Truth your not the only that got fucked, there was probably only about 200 pairs for this contest and only 100 made it due to that damn 2 pair shit, most of em will resell some even both pairs, just another way for sole collector to make money. Look at me, they got me bitching about some damn shoes hahahaah, I'm hella mad
@Kev Loco Mostly likely theyre the ones who flip the shoes after its all done and over with, probably holding themselves about 30 pairs to the side
@DJQevlar These are just sole collector ones. The regular galaxy rookies are still releasing on the 6th.
@23kicksfor23chicks I agree with you, I couldn't get those Lebron X+ "Crown Jewels this past weekend because they only released at 10 locations (200-300 pair total) None of my local shoes stores are even getting the Lebron X+ "Olympic" that's releasing this weekend.
@23kicksfor23chicks What's next is you having to have on a certain pair of shoes in order for you to buy another shoe!! Haha that will stop resellers for sure!!!!
@23kicksfor23chicks this is the way it should be
