Air Jordan IX “Doernbecher”

It’s finally here – a first look at this year’s Air Jordan installment of the Nike x Doernbecher Freestyle. For the last five years, the Doernbecher x Air Jordan has been the undisputed standout of the bunch, with last year’s Superman-inspired Air Jordan IV being one of the more coveted sneaker releases of the year. This year, Jordan Brand has selected the Air Jordan IX – currently one of the trending Air Jordan models amidst the “Kilroy Pack” and other highlight releases; designed by Oswaldo Jimenez, the Air Jordan IX Doernbecher features a distinct feather detail that is derived from Oswaldo’s nickname of “Pollito”, which translates to “Chicken Little”. This is also the first-ever Air Jordan IX to feature a translucent outsole. Not one person copping is buying them with charity in mind. The same way a couple stores I'm NYC will sell em above retail like dickheads when proceeds are suppose to go charity.
Nike will probably send them all to vegas again, so they can copp three pairs per person again. SHoe game is fucked up now.
@Staxxx Funny you mention that, I was at Crossover in the Cosmopolitan, & I was told the Doernbecher 4 was a common shoe in Vegas & that anybody who wanted them was able to cop multiple pairs with ease.... & here I thought it was a limited kick...guess I was wrong...

pity they went with XIs for this year's release.
finished product has me taking a second look at this silhouette though, although there is no chance i could get my hands on these without lining reseller pockets.

upper would have been better black, in my opinion but regardless its still an extremely nice sneaker. gonna try to get lucky and cop a pair.

These are actually amazing to me that feather print looks dope as hell!!! And that the clear Sole on a 9!!!!!! Butter!!!!

They should call these " The Kickin Chicken IX " ............ I would not wear these unless I worked at KFC.......... Reminds me of all the chicken bones in the parking lots around the great city of Memphis ............ YUK!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very dope pair. Ive liked every thing since year one. makes me wonder if a Doernbecher will ever get a GR. It'd be a wonderful cause to support. Also if anyone disses these, death to you. (I only inserted that comment cause of the disrespect i've read on instagram and twitter of how bad they are.)

These are definately very nice, and once again I give props to this organization. Keep ur head up Pollito! Unfortunately these will be copped and resold for a insane amount. Also JB's timing with releases has been horrid. I get it that there's a lot to drop, but realistically most of us can't get all these releases with a once a week span. I've saved for thunders and breds, so i can't get these. 2013 looks to be crammed as well.

Definitely one of the nicest DB's. The gold accents and that icy sole really does it for me. These are probably a cop depending on the money situation after the Bred 4's. *Sighs*

You just ruined them for me. They are very mexican, i dont know now, i like the gold and the pattern, i just feel like ill be leaning like a cholo in these.

Elbows up, side to side.....Not being racist, if they were red black and green with african sh!t i would say they are too black, red white and green with some pizza on it they would look Italian.
