Another hot White/Black/Red Air Jordan Retro release that will join the ‘He Got Game’ 13s this January is the Air Jordan V – one of the last few Retros that donned ‘Nike Air’ upon its first re-issue. If you can remember, Nike re-released these in 1999 with the original Nike Air on the heel, but by the time the re-release occured with the Collezione in 2008, it was back to Jumpman. This 2013 issue, however, does not feature the ’23′ embroidery on the heel (like the non-PE originals). only if they had the "nike air" on the heal like the OG's. but still a must have to add to the collection
without the 23 it sucks because you have a small jumpman on the back that really doesn't stand out plus w/o nike air on the back the shoe looks plain.
@Big_Infinite These are supposed to mimic the '99 pair. The ones from '99 didn't have the 23 on the side.
@LukeDelBianco i know, i had them. the 23 seems quite popular but it just makes the shoe look cheap. i won't buy a pair with the 23 on the side.

If ONLY they had the black tongue... Still an easy cop though, but the black tongue would have been righteous.

@Frxshh those were my favs back then had the og's like them more then these but of course I got to get the grapes to those were my first Jordan's I ever got so u know I gotta copp those grapes cuz haven't been able to get a pair since the og's came out man I miss those times no camp outs lol

@TheNatural You are not trippin'... I see it too. I saw this before on a pair of early releases i got and another thing i noticed was the Jordan logo on the box. I call it the "Cone Head Jordan"... The head just looks off, compare the box above w/ another store bought pair and look at outline of the head. I know its a minor detail, but i would think JB would have QC on that.
I wish they would get it right with the release date for first retro fire reds. They released 1/05/2000 everybody keep saying 99 but they cameout in 2000. Same for the metallic 5's they released March of 2000. At this time of day ppl call them the 99's. Sneaker news get it together.
After my 2000 Infrareds gave out on me, I'm scared as hell to put my 2000 Fire Reds on to wear them. I'll have to pick these up if I can.
