The jury is still out on whether the Yeezy did in fact jump over the Jumpman during Kanye’s stint with the Swoosh. One could argue that at a time, the Nike Yeezy series was as coveted as the latest Jordan retro, but now that Kanye signed with the three stripes, the casual qualities of his creations aren’t even in the same realm as the Jumpman. That hasn’t stopped Jordan from bringing out this Yeezy inspired Jordan Son of Mars for an August 12th release date though. Once a custom by Mache, the retail version utilizes a darker crimson as the lining, but don’t let that fool you – the glow outsole and all black upper definitely pay obvious homage to the Yeezy ‘Blink’ colorway.
