Earlier today we showed you what is undoubtedly the best Fly Wade 2 EV (or perhaps Fly Wade period) colorway ever. The Metallic Gold Coin matte finish worked wonders with the seamless appeal of the Fly Wade 2 EV, and the sneaker model itself, which hasn’t garnered the attention as much as, say, a LeBron or KD, received a ton of praise for the selection of color. There’s another Fly Wade 2 EV goodie for June – this Club Purple/Spark colorway that captures that original ‘Raptors’ crest using the two-toned colorway with Black and White hits around the shoe. Certainly a punchier, neon effect achieved with these, but are these better than the Fly Wade 2 ‘Gold Coin’? Check out additional angles below and let us know what you think.

Are we looking at – dare we say – Dwyane Wade’s NBA Finals sneaker? Jordan Brand has an immense amount of confidence in its marquee signature athlete, and although there isn’t a true ‘Finals’ attachment to this sick June release, how awesome would it be to see Wade and LeBron fly down the court and pull off one of their stylish alley-oops while wearing their respective Black/Gold sneakers? That’s ‘winning’ at the very least, but Wade and the Heat still have to pull off one more W against the Pacers and have a tough test in the Eastern Conference Finals against the veteran Celtics or the energetic Sixers. Speaking on the shoes – the Metallic Gold Coin treatment does absolute wonders for the already supercar-like Fly Wade 2 EV – a true alchemic touch if there was one. Continue reading for a first look at the Jordan Fly Wade 2 ‘Gold Coin’ after the jump and let us know if you think Wade has a third career NBA Finals coming at him this June!

The Second Round of the 2012 NBA Playoffs is mid-way through and we’ve already seen an impressive library of sneakers from the games biggest stars and even the lesser-known sneakerhead ballers. The two names to highlight this weekend are both from Los Angeles – Kobe Bryant and young swingman Nick Young of the Clippers; Kobe shed ‘Elite’ by wearing a White/Purple/Green PE of the Nike Zoom Kobe VII, which he followed with the Nike Zoom Kobe VII ‘Christmas’, but Nick might’ve done him one better by wearing the Air Foamposite One ‘Royal’ during Sunday’s match-up against the Spurs, which followed an unprecedented appearance of the Nike Air Zoom Generation in the ‘First Game’ colorway. Of course, there’s much more to see, like Eric Bledsoe’s Metallic Red Foams, LeBron’s Black/Gold Elites, and Paul George’s sick Fade Option Kobe VII iD, so check it all out below and let us know who rocked the best kicks! Just a small handful of games went down over the weekend, but what the NBA lacked in number, it overcompensated with heated competition and some new sneaks! The Los Angeles Clippers finally put away the tough Memphis Grizzlies as Chris Paul and his CP3.V led the Clippers to victory. Teammate Nick Young wore the best kicks though, wearing the Air Foamposite One ‘Metallic Red’ to match the Away uni. On the other side, Rudy Gay of the Memphis Grizzles brought back the Air Max Tempo in White/Navy. The other LA squad advanced to the second round as well, led by Kobe Bryant who wore the ‘Lakers’ colorway of the Zoom Kobe VII ‘Dart Frog’. The East was already on the Semi-Finals round of play, as LeBron wore the LeBron 9 ‘MVP’ and teammate Dwyane Wade chipped in with the Fly Wade 2 EV. Paul George, who has been Kobe VII-friendly this season, broke out the Nike Zoom Kobe VII Elite ‘Away’. The final game of the weekend was between Philly and Boston, led by Rajon Rondo’s Zoom Huarache 2K4 iD. More of the NBA below, so take a look and stay tuned for more! Photos: espn

LeBron James is better than Dwyane Wade. Well, that’s according to Dwyane Wade, who recently stated that LeBron is ‘the man’ of the team. That in itself can be debatable, but Wade is just as important as LeBron is to Miami’s Championship run, as witnessed in Games 1 and 2. During the first two games against the Knicks, Dwyane Wade has been wearing a White/Red/Yellow colorway of the Jordan Fly Wade 2 EV, and it’s become apparent that they are not an unattainable PE, but a GR release that should hit stores soon. More on this new colorway of the Jordan Fly Wade 2 EV below, so take a look and we’ll keep you updated with other colorway ‘ol Wade wears for the upcoming games in the First Round series against the Knicks.
