Although there was a released version of the Nike Air Max Hyperposite “Area 72″, there’s no doubt that the PE made for Western Conference All-Star LaMarcus Aldridge was far better! The dark upper exudes that deep space landscape with hints of the Area 72 graphics lining the collar of the shoe, with a sick planet-surface style of Swoosh detailing on the heel and toe. These are definitely one of the highlights of the 2013 All-Star Game footwear, so check out an additional shot of the shoes and LaMarcus wearing them in-game, and let us know if you think more Hyperposite colorways should hit stores.

Another look at this incredible Air Jordan IV Retro designed for the UNC Tar Heels arrives, with a close examination of the heels and tongue logo comprising the bulk if this latest update. The diamond argyle print in white, carolina blue, and navy adorns the heels as well as the midsoles and lining, while the foot-print logo replaces the “Flight” patch on the tongue that has been a staple on the Air Jordan IV since ’89. The question is – which Air Jordan IV college PE is the better on, UNC or Oregon? Check out the close-up shots of the Tar Heel detailing below and stay tuned for more updates on this great PE.

The 2013 NBA Playoffs continued with several First Round match-ups continuing toward a Game 7. One of the more competitive bouts has been between the Pacers and Hawks, with players from both teams coming through with some heat (DJ Augustin in the Air Jordan IV “Thunder”, Gerald Green in the Reebok Shaq Attaq, and David West in a Nike Hyperposite “Gradient” PE). Kevin Durant went for the sweep in the Nike KD V Elite, but Rich Harden kept his Rockets alive with the Nike Hyperfuse 2012 Low “Christmas” PE. There’s plenty more to see so check out this latest installment of NBA Feet tomorrow and stay tuned for more later this week.

With Gary Payton’s name on deck to be the next household name in Retro kicks, why not take a look back at some of the highlights of his sneaker career? “The Glove” is known for his short yet influential stint with Nike in the late-90s and early-2000s, but his time as a Jordan Brand athlete is generally overlooked, although we do show an occasional GP PE from time to time. This Air Jordan XIX was made for Payton while he was with the Lakers (the team that was supposed to win the Title) and intended to be an All-Star PE, but Payton was left out of the 2004 team. Are you excited for the comeback of “The Glove” signature line? Let us know in the comments area and check out this rare PE from 4-quarters on eBay.

The UNC Tar Heels color combo of white and university blue is one that’s long been associated with the likes of the Air Jordan line. The connection is made a little bit more official with this, the Air Jordan IV “UNC” PE pair, a promo only version of MJ’s fourth silhouette that was apparently produced for the men’s basketball squad out there in Chapel Hill. The sneaker plants a Tar Heels logo on the tongue, goes heavy on the argyle print, and even puts the “UNC” insignia on the inside. Continue reading for this best look yet at the Air Jordan IV “UNC” and stay tuned should any other schools get outfitted with their own retro models.

It’s not likely that Nike will ever stop giving back to the University of Oregon, as the school remains an important part of the Swoosh story both historically and presently. Their football squad currently plays the guinea pig of sorts for awesome new uniform kits and PE pairs. The Nike Zoom Revis is one of those pairs, an NFL sig trainer that we’ve seen outfitted with a couple of different “Ducks” looks so far. This time around we get another glance at the design, which features green and yellow touches, a bit of “O” embroidery, and their “Win the Day” slogan. See more below and then check out the price tag on this Nike Zoom Revis “Oregon” version from hsong893 on eBay.

It seems that the Nike Air Max Hyperposite has been shelved for good, with the sudden “Area 72″ version being the last known release of this underrated silhouette. One of the big topics of our NBA Feet retrospective feature was the sea of Hyperposite PEs that touched the hardwood floor, and today we’re getting a nice look at a sweet “Iridescent” version that Rudy Gay wore during his time with the Grizzlies. With the “Invisibility Cloak”-like exterior and a Memphis yellow outsole, there’s no doubt that this version would’ve been as popular as the more notable ones to have released, but as mentioned before, the Hyperposite appears to be a done deal for now. We’ve got a nice high-def gallery below so give it a look and let us know if you’d like to see more Hyperposites hit retail.
