UNC Receives A Player Exclusive Air Jordan 1 High

As Michael Jordan’s alma mater, The University of North Carolina has been bestowed with an overwhelming number of exclusive iterations of Jordan Brand’s iconic lifestyle and on-court footwear. With the synonymous “University Blue” hue taking over the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG this past summer, the inaugural retro silhouette has since returned to Chapel Hill with a colorway reserved for the men’s and women’s basketball teams.

Gifted to the women’s basketball team, the high-top trim mirrors the two-toned color-blocking of the silhouette’s mid-cut model from 2013. Accented with exposed trim along the rich leather panels, a crisp white hue consumes the base layer, laces and tongue while UNC logos stamp both tongue tabs. The silhouette’s remaining real estate is cured exclusively in the school’s synonymous sky blue hue, consuming the tread, various upper overlays and the textile of the inner lining.

The Air Jordan 1 “UNC” PE won’t receive a broader release and is instead an exclusive for the members of the school’s basketball programs. However, you can enjoy a detailed look at the pair below.

For more retro offerings, the Jordan 3 “Fear” arrives on November 25th.
