Marvel Comics is planning to link up with the sneaker world once again. The company looks to be back in bed with Vans, who we’ve seen them work with before on a specific release to coincide with Kick Ass, as well as a wider ranging collection that encapsulates a bit more of their classic intellectual property. This forthcoming sneaker, a Vans Era design, looks to be closer to the latter. Hitting across the upper are tons of comic book covers from the company’s rich history, including the likes of Spider-Man, the Silver Surfer, Ironman, the Hulk, and more. Let us know if you approve based on this sneak peek and stay tuned to get the full story on this upcoming Marvel Comics x Vans Era release.

Unveiled about a month before the annual San Diego convention, Reebok’s collaboration with the Marvel Universe hit retailers just after Comic Con 2012.  But as we saw a couple weeks back with a new Pump Twilight Zone, this ongoing partnership still has plenty releases left, both in terms of new styles we haven’t seen and that initial June preview.  The Marvel x Reebok Night Storm HLS takes on ‘Venom’ persona in black and white that adds a series of unique textures (along with a delightfully creepy tongue hangtag) that puts this sophisticated trail midtop in a class above earlier kids efforts.  Decide for yourself how this official collabo compares to the Nike SB ‘Venom’ Dunk High staple and grab the newest Night Storm in time for Halloween today from SNS.

Reebok’s collaboration with Marvel Comics is just one of many reasons people are starting to really believe the Vector brand is ‘back’.  Colorways ranging from Wolverine to the more obscure Chamber and Deadpool wowed comic book fans and sneakerheads alike with the skillful application of details on both new and old silhouettes, and now we have a look at a pair that’s somewhere in the middle.  The Red Skull x Reebok Pump Omni Lite HLS gives us Captain America’s greatest nemesis on the updated Dee Brown silo, a fittingly aggressive yet relatively (compared to the rest of the set) subdued application of a character known more for his cunning ways than any super power.  Use your x-ray vision to check them out on the other side, let us know which is the best of the Marvel x Reebok sneakers and grab this Red Skull Pump Omni Lite HLS from TGWO.

Reebok and Marvel Comics have been collaborating on Spider-Man sneakers for a while now, but this upcoming collection is a reminder that in the ten years since Sam Raimi’s first Peter Parker film started the CGI superhero revolution, it was a team-up in The Avengers that made the biggest splash.  The Marvel x Reebok partnership grows stronger thanks to a variety of characters on a mix of familiar and updated silhouettes whose total of ten different drops offers an RBK-penned answer to the highly successful Star Wars x adidas Originals collab.  We’ve already seen detailed images of the Captain America, Wolverine and Chamber styles, so check out the rest of the set after the jump below, let us know which hero’s design is your favorite and stick with Sneaker News for US release info.  via Sneaker Freaker//SC

Marvel x Reebok Blast “Chamber”

reebok blast chamber Marvel x Reebok Blast Chamber

While he’s not as famous as Wolverine or Captain America, the latest Marvel hero to grace an RBK collaboration is arguably the best fit for his silhouette, out of the entire 10-shoe collection.  This Marvel Comics x Reebok Blast ‘Chamber’ is inspired by a Jono Starsmore’s alter ego, a character who mutated to possess the ability to send out energy blasts from his chest.  Not only is the sneaker name a direct hit, but both Chamber and the revised Nick Van Exel sig have their origins in 1996 (that’s when the Blast initially released and Chamber’s backstory was explained; he had debuted in a 1994 issue of Generation X).  Have a closer look at all the details packed into this time capsule design and stick with Sneaker News for updates on these and the rest of the Marvel x Reebok collabo.  Photos: yewa

Among the pairs from the Marvel Comics x Reebok collection we’ve seen to date Deadpool here has gotta be the least known character to the non-comic book inclined masses. Sure he got some shine in the Wolverine flick but other than that we’re pretty certain most of the masses aren’t too familiar with this wise-cracking, fourth wall breaking assassin. This Reebok Pump Omni Lite should help, repping his style pretty well with a black and red combo featuring his weapons embroidered on the back and and of course the man himself printed on the in-soles. Hit the jump for all the shots of the upcoming Marvel x Reebok Pump Omni Lite ‘Deadpool’ and stay tuned for when we roll out the rest of the pack. Photos: ye-wa
