Back in the summertime, some rumors were circulating regarding the possibility of Andre Iguodala heading over to the Lakers, but such talk has since been deaded as he’ll be back in Philly for the upcoming season. This set of PE’s for the Nike Zoom Hyperfuse 2011 serves as the nail in the coffin, with all three coming with the red/royal blue combo to go the the 76ers uni. The tongue even has the personalized touch in the form of the AI logo, which is Iguodala’s for the taking now that Allen Iverson is out of the league. As a nice little bonus, the Nike Hyperfuse 2011 colorways shown here even work as a nod to his alma mater University of Arizona in addition to the NBA tie in. Get a full look at all three after the jump and let us know if you’d cop given a retail release.

Of all the people who wear Nikes, only a small handful is aware of what goes behind the doors of the Innovation Kitchen – the Swoosh-based laboratory that serves as the birthplace for some of the most exotic yet applicable footwear designs and technology known to man. Nike Hyperfuse is one of the more recent creations from the Kitchen, derived by the curiosity of Nike Basketball designer Shane Kohatsu. Shane studied the footwear trends of basketball in China, and it was in that observation that he grew an obsession over creating the most breathable shoe ever created. His effort culminated in the Nike Hyperfuse, which released in July of 2010 and revolutionized performance basketball footwear convention. This amazing find spilled over from sport to lifestyle, as Ben Shaffer, designer for Nike Sportswear, began utilizing Nike Hyperfuse on classic models like the Air Max 1 and Air Force 1, thusly opening the doors to Nike Sportswear Hyperfuse, which just recently began its release. This animated video, titled ‘Tales From the Kitchen’, retells that story in psychedelic fashion, so check out the full video below and let us know what you think.

The Nike Hyperfuse previews we’ve seen so far range from futuristic to “OMG, I don’t remember being anywhere near a Delorean!” Well, here they are, all in one place, plus a couple new ones that you haven’t seen yet. We’ll start with the ‘plainest’ pairs, which are a monochromatic black edition, one adding red and white accents, an eggplant purple pair, plus one that looks like Nike’s USA Olympic palette. These four pairs are only considered tame because the green, red, yellow and blue pairs all share that butterfly wing/iris pattern on the ankles just like the 2010 FIBA World Championship pair that popped up in aqua and red last week. Possibly the most aesthetically distinct shoe from Nike Basketball since the debut of Flywire on the Hyperdunk two years earlier, the Nike Hyperfuse will start hitting retailers in summer 2010.
