Entourage x Nike SB Dunk Low Latest Release Rumors

We just mentioned Todd Bratrud’s ‘Cheech and Chong’ Dunk High SB from last spring in reference to the upcoming ‘Bonsai’ Stefan Janoskis, but this model pictured above has it all over that pair when it comes to drama surrounding its release.  The Entourage x Nike SB Dunk Low Premium ‘Lights Out’ has managed to outlive the hit HBO series, and with more delays and confusion than possibly any other single shoe in history, we wouldn’t blame you for being skeptical about new word of an eventual retail release.  But that’s exactly what just happened when Northampton, Mass’ Unite reported that they’ll have a Quickstrike release in March or April of this year, just about a year after the ‘Entourage’ LeBron 8 V/2s dropped in 2011.  Let us know how you feel about all this back and forth and stick with Sneaker News for updates.

Nike SB Dunk Low Sunburst Mint Customs by Sharp020

Never content to just slap some paint on a sneaker and call it a custom, Sharp020 has proven his acumen again and again via a slick skill set of embroidery and sew-work. Take his latest creation, this minty fresh pair with a cool sunburst array of lines radiating out from the side swoosh. The inside gets quite the upgrade as well, featuring a soft quilted look that is generally reserved for top-tier Supreme collabos. Sharp020 really makes the pair his own, even going so far as to replace the ‘Nike’ branding throughout with his own stamp of approval (peep the custom tongue tag). Follow us after the jump to get a better look at the Nike SB Dunk Low ‘Sunburst Mint’ and let us know if you would scoop these up at retail if given the chance. via N-SB

Nike SB Dunk Low Premium Pine Green Black Atom Red

There’ve been a few standout Nike SB Dunk Lows previewed here on Sneaker News in recent weeks, and one thing they all have in common is a connection to a previous notable release. The connection is quite obvious when you look at Pushead’s latest Dunk SB collaboration and the upcoming ‘Shrimp’ edition offers a different twist on crustacean inspiration than CNCPTS’ ‘Lobster’ series just as the above pictured pair utilizes the still rare yet familiar woodgrain texture. They offer a strikingly similar blocking pattern as compared to last February’s Obsidian edition, but achieve a more festive look that’s not too far from what you might expect in a few months for Cinco de Mayo. Click through to get a better look at this February SB Dunk Low Premium and look for yours at select retailers like Black Sheep.

Nike SB Dunk Low Shrimp

The phrase ‘shrimp on the barbie’ is one thrown around to make reference to anything from ‘Down Under’, so perhaps this upcoming Quickstrike release of the Nike SB Dunk Low has some sort of Australian theme to it? Featuring a basic Black leather upper with a red swoosh, this Nike SB Dunk Low ‘Shrimp’ features a stitched icon of a ‘shrimp’ with a special tongue label of a grill – thus, the ‘shrimp on the barbie’ connection. The phrase itself originated from a series of Australian advertisements in the 80′s, with the signature phrase coming from the actor who would later be remembered as Crocodile Dundee. These SB Dunks also come with a pair of secondary laces that appear to be a light pink tint for further shrimp effect. Nike SB February 2012 Footwear

For those sneakerheads who love the traditional styling of the Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski series, February is shaping up to be quite a solid month.  Stef’s SB signatures set the table for the rest of the 02/12 lineup, the simple three-toned colorways utilized on the low and midtop versions exactly the kind of simple satisfaction you can expect from the rest of the set.  Additional standouts include the Ironstone Dunk Low SB with Barn red accents and the ubiquitous white Dunk midsole, SB Blazers in both High and Low and white-on-black renditions of both Eric Koston and Paul Rodriguez’ latest sig releases.  You can see each pair of these up-close by clicking on the jump below, then look for them at select Swoosh skateboarding stockists like Premier.

Nike SB Dunk Low Black Midnight Fog Navy

The Dunk SB lineup has been relying primarily upon the simplest of colorways in recent months, this newest release offering a glimpse into the past where other, similarly simple designs have excelled.  This new Nike SB Dunk Low is at first glance just a simple pairing of black, grey and white plus a navy outsole, but experienced SB heads will recognize the upper as being something like a cross of the Takashi from 2003 and its sequel.  But even without the historical connection, you can’t go wrong with a black suede lowtop for skating, and you’ll find this pair available for the taking at select Nike SB retailers like England’s Flatspot.

Pushead x Nike SB Dunk Low Fall 2012

While diffcult for hardcore enthusiasts to admit, Nike SB has clearly lost its luster over the last few years. Some point to 2006 as being the final year of true relevance and excitement for Nike Skateboarding’s Dunk releases, with the Pushead being one of the last few heavy-hitters before the sub-label went on a prolonged slump. Designed by famed street-artist Pushead, the late 2005 release of the Pushead x Nike SB Dunk Low featured his signature artwork in album covers and skate decks is considered to be one of greatest of the entire series thanks to it’s mind-blowing colorway, weaved inner lining, and special edition box. Expected to release this Fall 2012, Nike SB will release a ‘bleached’ version of the original Pushead x Nike SB Dunk Low; this particular pair is on display at Civilist Berlin as part of an art installation by Juergen Bluemlein of the Skateboard Museum. Your thoughts on this pseudo-’Retro’? Check out the extra angle below and be sure to stick with Sneaker News for more Nike SB updates. via HS.

Nike SB Dunk Low Crown Royal April 2012

Usually April is a month that Nike SB sets aside to pay tribute to a different adult substance, but it appears that you’ll be able to party extra hard for 2012 with the Nike SB Dunk Low ‘Crown Royal’. As the classier segment of our of-age readers no doubt know, the colorway gets it look from the velvet bag that the Canadian whiskey comes packaged in. Dipped in a deep purple suede, the upper also comes with some regal looking gold accents to complete the look. Follow us after the jump for the full shot and let us know if you’re anticipating this April 2012 release (no ID required). via N-SB

Nike SB Dunk Low Loden 2012

Nike SB did some interesting things with the Dunk in recent years.  After defattening and refattening the tongues on the Lows and flirting with strap removal surgery on the Mids, the Dunk Pro SB got a new sole construction and traction pattern in 2011 along with improvements to the cushioning and overall feel.  This past year also saw a marked increase in ‘Un-’ style colorway reduxes, whereby classics from the past decade were reworked and applied to different silo heights.  And now somewhere between those appropriations, carryover models like the ‘Griptapes’ and true retro releases comes this new Nike SB Dunk Low that you’d be hard pressed to call anything other than ’Loden’.  That’s because they look quite a bit like the 2002 pair by that same name, but Swoosh skateboarding hasn’t gone so far as to officially link them or suggest further tributes.  So what say you, Sneaker News reader?  Should Nike SB retro some of its beloved classics, should they continue to push the envelope with new themes and references, and which pairs would you be more excited to add to your collection?  via N-SB

Nike SB Dunk Low Medusa

When a hot new Nike SB colorway drops, it’s always a race to coin a nickname based on the familiarity of the overall look of the sneaker. The first time we gave you a look at this Nike SB Dunk Low a handful of readers suggested monikers in the comment section, but apparently we’re going with ‘Medusa’ on these. The mythical tie-in is pretty spot on, with the pebbled suede coming in a stony shade along the lines of what you might get if you had a staring contest with the namesake lady. After that it’s the reptilian hits of green, coming as a nod to her serpentine hairdo. Hit the jump for the full look and stick with Sneaker News for more news on the Nike SB Dunk Low ‘Medusa’. via N-SB
