Was Shaq popular with the kids back in the day? The answer is yes: along with a superstar presence on the basketball court, Shaq showed a natural charisma behind the camera, appearing in several films like Blue Chips (although that was geared toward older fans) and the Oscar-snubbed “Kazaam” and “Steel”. Let’s not forget the Shaq-Fu video game, in which a realistic plot-line placed Shaq, fully trained in Kung Fu, in a weird dimension in a mission to save a young boy from an evil mummy. The shoes were popular with the kids as well, with this pristine pair of the Reebok Shaqnosis in DS condition bringing us back to the Shaq era of movies and games. The Shaqnosis is indeed headed for a return next month, but with kids sizes not yet confirmed, your best bet might be to cop this new pair from antoniojoaquin123 on eBay.

Reebok made yet another big splash at the Project Trade Show in Las Vegas as the comeback brand welcomed its first-ever signature athlete Shaquille O’neal to help re-launch the original Shaq line. The future Hall Of Fame NBA center sat down with Swizz Beatz to talk about the comeback of the most popular Reebok Shaq models like the Attaq and Shaqnosis, but Shaq filled us in on some more interesting info regarding the original ad campaigns and designs from the 90′s, how his own children have responded to the Reebok Shaq comeback, and much more. Check out the full video after the jump and stay tuned for the official return of the Shaq Attaq, which we’ve confirmed to be April 19th.

Sneaker News just filled you in on the release date of the original White/Black colorway of the Reebok Shaqnosis (June 19th, $125 if you didn’t catch that), but if you’re considering on the passing on those, Reebok’s got some energetic make-ups waiting for you in the Fall 2013 season. Three great colorways are indeed set for a return, with all three versions paying some sort of tribute to Shaq’s illustrious past. The White/Red/Black/Yellow colorway is a nod to Shaq’s fourth NBA Title that he won alongside Dwyane Wade in Miami, the Chrome/Black draws some connection to the movie ‘Steel’ that the big-man starred in, while the Royal/Black/White puts on a nice spin on the classic ORL colorways. A full preview is just below so take a look and stay tuned for more from Reebok Classics.

Don’t you worry – more sneaker releases are indeed confirmed for the Reebok Shaq line. We just dropped the release date of the Shaq Attaq just a few hours ago (4/19, $160), but following up that gargantuan sneaker is the polarizing Reebok Shaqnosis, which first debuted in 1995 – the same year that Shaq went to his first NBA Finals. During the time of its original release, Reebok designed the Shaqnosis as a “love it or hate it” model, fully knowing that the eccentric design would not quite fit the tastes of every basketball fan. Regardless, the Shaqnosis is deemed as one of the classic sneakers of the powerhouse 90′s decade, and with the Shaqnosis making a comeback on June 19th at select retailers including Finish line, Foot Locker, Jimmy Jazz, Shiekh, City Gear, Shoe Palace and on Reebok.com, there’s no doubt that people will be back aboard the Reebok Shaq train. Some additional photos are just below so take a look and let us know if these are a must-have for you.

Just like the current Reebok Kamikaze II retro treatment that’s going down, the forthcoming Reebok Shaqnosis will have plenty of stories to tell once it arrives at retail. The ‘Florida Rivalry’ pack shown here for instance pays homage to Shaq’s time spent with both the Miami Heat and the Orlando Magic, dressing up the sneakers with two separate that reference those squads. Continue reading to get a look at the Reebok Shaqnosis ‘Florida Rivalry’ pack, which comes with an awesome 3M treatment across the upper, and look for the group to release this August.
