UNDFTD has a strong track record of sneaker collaborations and their latest offering is not likely to disappoint. The UNDFTD x Puma Clyde ‘Stripe-Off’ Collection is set to hit a group of select retailers this Sunday, April 10th, (a date chosen as a nod to Walt “Clyde” Frazier’s jersey number) but if you want an up-close look a day early, Puma and Packer Shoes will be holding a special in-store preview event tomorrow to showcase the four very clean colorways featured in the soon to be released pack. Although the store is closed on Sundays, they will be taking reservations for the limited run during the in-store event, and for those who can’t make it out, the shoes will be available for purchase through the Packer Shoes online mini-store starting Saturday night at midnight EST.

The Undefeated x Air Jordan IV itself is already one of the toughest shoes to own, but this unreleased sample version of stretches the bounds of ‘limited’ to darn-near non-existent. What makes this sample version so special? It features an additional black section on the rear portion of the midsole above the visible Air window. The released (or more accurately, ‘available’) version features a solid white midsole. How rare are these Rare Airs? There isn’t a finite number, but let’s just say you can count ‘em all with the fingers in one hand. The Undefeated x Air Jordan IV is always a head-turner whenever it makes a public appearance – it was the shoe of focus during CNBC’s recent investigative report on the world sneakers and it also caused a stirring debate when big-time sneakerhead Mayor rocked ‘em during the 2011 NBA All-Star Weekend. Friends, family, and frenzied sneakerheads showed up to cop the crisp and clean Converses inspired by classic flight jackets and the time-honored Poorman Weapon design. The NBA All-Star Weekend is one of the biggest pro-sports draws of the year, and over the weekend, Houston-native and hip-hop artist Bun B as well as sneakerhead supreme Mayor were spotted enjoying the festivities. Bun B acted as host for some Q&A sessions with Jordan Brand athletes Ray Allen and Joe Johnson while wearing the Air Jordan XIII ‘Playoffs’ – a shoe that is set to release next week. Mayor, who graciously loaned some of his Nike Air Force 1 collection to the Nike Sportswear ‘Los Fearless’ Event, really heated things up by wearing the UNDFTD x Air Jordan IV – the olive-green uppered, orange laced rare Jordan gems that only a few get to be proud owners of. Last November, CNBC delved into the world of sneakers and the insane prices of sneakers, and the UNDFTD x Air Jordan IV just so happened to be one of the shoes in the spotlight, and it’s no surprise that one of the owners is also one of the biggest sneakerheads in the world. This burgundy-colored Poorman weapon features a rich new shade that you can add to your collection of UNDFTD x Converse Poorman Weapon releases of the past, but not until next week; these will his stores first in UNDFTD’s Las Vegas location on February 15th and its Los Angeles headquarters on the 18th.
