Classics Revisited: Nike Dunk Low co.jp Ultraman

nike-dunk-low-ultraman-05

The Nike Dunk Low “Ultraman” released in 1999 when the Nike Dunk, which originally debuted in 1985, was re-introduced in 1998. The Ultraman Dunk Low, named after the Japanese sci-fi-action hero of the 60’s, was a co.jp release (Japan only) and part of the “City Attack” Nike Dunk series which included four simple colourways and accompanying “reverse” renditions. Both pairs of the Nike Dunk Low Ultraman are very rare but the primarily gray version you see above is more commonly referred to as the “Ultraman” due to the fact that it is more common, but by the slightest of margins. Since the original release, the Ultraman Dunk colourway was resurrected in different forms, like a U.S. released Dunk Low that featured a darker grey and red and a white swoosh and a Dunk High SB in the reverse colourway, which represented UNLV in Nike SB’s Be True To Your School Pack of Winter 2005.
