With his current supporting cast amongst the best in the entire league, LeBron James is closer than he’s ever been to that elusive NBA championship. But back in his rookie season of 2003-04, King James’ main objective was to silence all the naysayers who wouldn’t let their imagination revel in the possibility of an 18 year old with freakish skills.
That was the season Nike titled his first signature the Nike Air Zoom Generation, rather than applying needless pressure to the youngster. Bron didn’t disappoint and neither did the Zoom Generation, whose limited colorways seem to be popping up more frequently, practically begging for a retro release. The pair pictured above was one of the many PEs LeBron wore that year, an all black construction with gold hits and just a touch of red to match the Cavs’ jerseys. There’s also a few extra details to let you know this was a PE, like the enhanced tongue and heel embroidery. Take a look at more images after the jump and let us know which pair of AZGs you’d most want to see back as a retro release. via Kenlu
