Nearly fifteen years after its memorable Christmas Day debut, the Nike Kobe 6 “Grinch” remains one of the most beloved holiday sneakers of all time. A 2020 Protro release and more recent “Reverse Grinch” colorway have allowed the Dr. Seuss theme to flourish in the modern NBA era, and what’s more is that Nike brought the “Grinch” to the gridiron by way of a Vapor Edge cleat in November 2024.
With December 25th looming large once again, Vanessa Bryant recently shared a pair of mismatched “Grinch” football cleats poised to release in limited quantities on Christmas. There’s not much to be said that “mismatched” doesn’t already cover; one cleat comes in standard green, while the other opts for the aforementioned “Reverse Grinch” theme in red. Nike hasn’t floated drop procedure information at the time of this writing, but Bryant notes that “select pairs” will be available and “only the nastiest get the nicest,” implying only limited quantities will be available.
