It shows up so much less frequently than their other running legacy models that when you see a new New Balance 998 you know the Boston-based brand means business. The first pair we’ve seen since Japanese label NEXUSVII’s Timbo-style colorup is this Made in the USA New Balance M998GNR OG, a decidedly different look that also relies on neutral colors. This one’s mostly grey, with a healthy portion of tonality courtesy of the mesh toe, eyelets and 3M toe hit, with Toronto Raptors accents coming in on the midsole and heel counter.
