We’ve seen most of Penny Hardaway’s Nike Basketball signatures retroed in ‘Eggplant’ colorways over the past few years, including the Half Cent hybrid and its Foamposite body. This one isn’t exactly Eggplant but it has a healthy portion of purple on a black base to give the Nike Air Max Penny 1 the look of Hardaway’s short stint with the Phoenix Suns. Just a hint of orange comes in on the heel ‘1¢’ heel embroidery to complete the look; exactly the type of thing you’d expect to see from Gilbert Arenas had the mega-trade that sent Vince Carter to the desert been structured differently.
