Tina Tangalakis created a win-win situation when she started Della, a socially responsible fashion label whose product line is handcrafted by natives of the Volta Region in Ghana. Della employs over fifty Ghanan women to handcraft textiles from sustainable local materials, the likes of which have been applied to the Della x Vans collaboration launching this January. The collection applies their one-of-a-kind batik process to the uppers of the Vans Sk8-Hi (in Reissue and Slim form), Authentic and Era, with rich colors inspired by the West African landscape. Check out each pair in more detail below and look for yours at select Vans retailers later this month.
