DeMarcus Cousins is undoubtedly one of the premier talents in the NBA, but last season he was a victim of injuries, three head coaches, and some organizational turmoil that left him stranded in Sacramento in a subpar situation. But does Nike Basketball still have big plans for the man affectionately known as Boogie? DMC recently spent two days in Taiwan as part of Nike Basketball’s RISE Tour to help expand their influence in Asia, as the 24-year-old directed drills to an excited basketball camp that even brought out some cut-outs of his face in order to show him proper love. Cousins rocked the LeBron 12 Elite throughout the two days of camp. With Kobe headed for a life after basketball, and LeBron about to receive his 13th signature silhouette, it’s obvious that a changing of the guards is on the way for Nike Basketball. Whether DeMarcus will play a huge role in the next wave of Nike superstars remains to be seen, but here’s to hoping.
