The last days of March and earliest days of April is when Japan celebrates the blooming of the cherry blossom in a celebration known as Hanami. Nike Sportswear is taking the opportunity to reference Japan’s transient love of the beauty of flowers with a new Nike Air Max 1 release that sees a subtle white leather mudguard and Swoosh accented by a water color-esque array of cherry blossom graphics throughout. The cherry blossoms are most apparent on the heel panel while the graphic gets a bit blurrier to give way to a sky blue accent by the toe. It’s an original look despite the Air Max 1 frequently giving us flower inspirations in women’s exclusive releases. What do you think of the pair?
