After the success at retail and the subsequent ban by the cult-like official organization of the training practice it was designed for, the controversial Nike Metcon is finally getting a sequel. The design of the Nike Metcon 2 doesn’t stray far from the original model, with some slight modifications to the Hyperfuse upper and the addition of a hard rubber “bumper” at the heel to increase durability for certain workout routines. The Metcon 2 debuts in a red and black colorway for men and a black and grey colorway for women, both of which are previewed here, on January 25th at Nike.com and select Nike Training retailers.
