With Kobe Bryant retiring, plenty of people are rushing to pick up the Nike Kobe 11 to signify his last signature shoe ever worn on-court. Nike Basketball has been plenty creative with colorways on this Flyknit gem, but let it be known that the debut pair worn by the Black Mamba on-court was this purple and black pair (he debuted them in his last game against the Boston Celtics). This weekend you’ll get a chance to own your own, as this Kobe 11 drops at retailers on February 27th. It does beg the question though – is this the last Lakers-themed Kobe to hit retailers? Purple is synonymous with the Hollywood hoopers and while Nike has hinted at the Kobe line continuing past his playing days, there’s still no announcement for any further 11s featuring purple and gold.
