Stephen Curry and Under Armour made waves in late 2023 by signing Sacramento Kings All-Star De’Aaron Fox to an endorsement deal under Curry Brand, promising a signature shoe. Now a full calendar year later, the Curry Fox 1 is finally ready for launch. The model’s rollout begins with the “Happy Fox Day” colorway on December 6th, followed by this alternative look of the same name on December 20th, Fox’s birthday.
The shoe features a Christmas-appropriate mix of green shades, with the upper coming decked out in dark pine across its mesh, synthetic, and leather portions. An intricate gold pattern spreads onto the lace strap and heel, matched by multi-color laces and a gold tongue logo. Colorway aside, the model features key touchpoints inspired by foxes. De’Aaron’s signature logo cleverly incorporates a fox, the number 5, and the letter “D” in one stroke, while the end of the lace strap is made to look like a fox tail.
Of course, hoopers’ main intrigue pertains to performance as opposed to aesthetics. Under Armour’s highly acclaimed FLOW cushioning is utilized underfoot, a TPU heel counter provides support, and the outsole features an abstract, almost gauze-like tread pattern.
The Curry Fox 1 “Happy Fox Day Alt” releases on December 20th via ua.com and Under Armour stores worldwide. The new model retails for $120, placing it among most of its peers in the signature shoe scene. Enjoy detailed images below and tap our Sneaker Release Dates page for more.
