Every couple of years we’re reminded of Dee Brown’s infamous dunk in the 1991 NBA Slam Dunk Contest. The legendary “no look” dunk gave Dee Brown the trophy, but for sneakerheads everywhere, it also gave his Reebok Pump Omni Lite a national stage to debut the signature ‘Pump’ technology that would become so pivotal throughout Reebok’s 90s basketball offerings. Now Reebok Classic is releasing the original colorway just in time for this year’s Dunk Contest with a special release at Sneaker Politics featuring a Dee Brown appearance this Saturday, February 18th.
The Reebok Pump Omni Lite “Dee Brown” features the OG construction of premium black tumbled leather throughout while Varsity Orance accents light up the branding and signature basketball-inspired Pump on the tongue. Supportive overlays hit the side panels in a contrasting white to match the heel collar while Hexalite branding on the heel highlights the honeycomb themed cushioning system in this retro.
Sneaker Politics is hosting a special get together featuring Shaq and Dee Brown in-store at their 216 Chartes Street location in New Orleans for All-Star Weekend. You grab this iconic retro there beginning at 12:30PM EST on Saturday, February 18th and also find your size online. Check out more detailed shots below and stay tuned for more All-Star coverage with Reebok Classic right here on Sneaker News.
