Sneaker News The surge in popularity of BOOST cushioning can be pinpointed to February 2015 with the debut of the Ultra Boost and, of course, the first-ever release of Kanye West’s YEEZY footwear line. However, the new foam cushioning made its debut nearly two years before that date with the debut of the adidas Energy Boost, a performance running shoe that boasted a full-length comfort unit made up of tiny foam pellets fused together. In celebration of the 5th Anniversary of BOOST, adidas is rolling out three special edition releases of the Energy Boost OG, an updated version of the Energy Boost, and the Ultra Boost LTD; each features a sporty black/white colorway with yellow accents that touch on the original colorway of the Energy Boost. Get these at select retailers and adidas.com beginning on February 1st.
