Ruba Abu-Nimah Creates A Special Nike Air Force 1 Low Inspired By Love

ELLE Magazine’s first ever female creative director – Ruba Abu-Nimah – has teamed up with Nike to create her own take on the iconic Air Force 1 Low inspired by Love. Using more inspiration from a 1984 postage stamp, Ruba’s design expresses her creative aesthetic as well as her wish to spread compassion and acceptance for all people – love is love is love. Using the white AF1 as a base, Abu-Nimah adds Bright Crimson to its midfoot Swoosh, while calling upon blue, yellow, and green for other design elements throughout the sneaker the likes of the heel, instep, and laces. “LOVE” comes embroidered on the heel of both shoes in black to further her message of equality. Pairs are currently scheduled to arrive at Nike retailers in both men’s and women’s sizes on April 9th for $120 USD.
