Nike Releases Another EXP Model Called The EXP-Z07

Nike’s brand new EXP-X14 silhouette was the first model in what could end up being a long series of running models under the Swoosh’s new “EXP” label. Standing for “experiment”, the X14 part of the shoe’s name came from the brand’s internal code that stood for the sneaker’s React cushioning technology. Now, the Swoosh has just rolled out a follow-up to that design by way of the significantly toned down – and less expensive – EXP-Z07. Devoid of the same Flywire and semi-translucent construction of the X14, the Z07 sports a simplified textile upper that provides the wearer with a comfortable and ventilated ride, sitting atop a responsive midsole for all-day cushioning and support. Compared to its predecessor, it equips a more exaggerated arch on its midsole as opposed to the flatter version on the X14, as well as a large midfoot Swoosh that sits where data-driven statistics took shape on the original. Two of the very few aesthetic similarities can be seen on the heel and midsole, with an extra high cut element that sits above its conversely low cut ankle collar and the same texture to that aforementioned sole unit. Take a look at both an olive and a black colorway here that are currently available from Euro retailers the likes of JD Sports for £80.
