Ben Felderstein Nike’s increased emphasis toward retro 90s basketball silhouettes as of late has been no secret, as the boisterously-designed Air More Uptempo silhouette has led the way for this resurgence. There’s no questioning its influence in the States, but the Swoosh Brand is ready to cross the pond and head to Europe with its next three-piece set. Utilizing London, Paris, and Milan as the inspirations, all three of these Uptempo iterations feature their respective territories embroidered in a glistening white on their heel.
Milan’s pair features a very straightforward inspiration, as it boasts the green, white, and red of the Italian flag in order from heel to toe. The Paris edition gets a little more luxurious with black and gold color schemes and reptilian material on the bold AIR branding. The London iteration makes use of a colorful smoke cloud, possibly a nod to the upcoming Holi Festival Of Colours in September.
