Nike’s old-school Blazer Mid Vintage ’77 is set to continue its recent run of success with a three-pack of new canvas makeups this spring, one of which is this black colorway. Although previous makeups have featured traditional leather uppers, this new colorway swaps out the standard construction for a summer-ready canvas, appearing here in a slightly faded black that’s accented by shaggy anthracite grey suede overlays. The retro vibes continue up top as well, thanks to an old-school tongue tag and exposed foam detailing. Although the shoe is almost entirely classic, the heels bring things into the modern day just a touch with printed white “Blazer 1977” accents. A clean white midsole and outsole then finalize the look. With all the wild colorways and outlandish silhouettes that have permeated the world of sneakers, it’s easy to forget that there is indeed beauty in simplicity, and this design proves that old adage thankfully still rings just as true as ever. These Blazers are sure to be a hit this spring, and they’ll drop on April 12th for an even $100 USD. Need ’em in your collection?
