Nike Adds Contrasting Snakeskin And Camo To The Air Max 98

With its heavily layered upper, Nike’s Air Max 98 is certainly a compelling canvas for bold details, and the latest pair to surface features a new ladies-only combo of snakeskin and camo. Using a sandy tan for the base color, this 98’s upper is split into three distinct pieces: the mesh base features a desert camo print, the midfoot overlay is constructed of a tonal leather, and the mudguard features a bold snakeskin print, one that’s identical to the material used on Supreme‘s slithering 98s from 2016. Although the upper presents a veritable smorgasbord of styles, the midsole keeps things relatively simple by comparison, surrounding a tan Air Max cushioning unit with white EVA foam. The outsole then completes the look with a pop of sporty style, thanks to its royal blue rubber. This bold take on the Sergio Lozano-designed classic will release on Nike.com in the coming weeks, with a slightly increased retail price of $180 USD to allot for its premium stylings. Check out a full set of official images below, and expect a release on June 6th.
