With a striking look and a propensity to take on bold color palettes, Nike’s React Presto has become a popular lifestyle sneaker in its first few months on the market, and now it’s released in a whimsical “Octopus” makeup. Continuing the silhouette’s run of clever cartoon-y character-inspired colorways, the “Octopus” stamps a comical purple creature surrounded by teal bubbles on its black insole, then uses those same hues on its fun-loving visage. The upper combines black mesh and neoprene for a stark base, but the accents immediately liven things up. A soft purple graces the abstract plastic midfoot cage, while pops of bright yellow and calming blue add further to the look. Flecked laces then hold things together both literally and figuratively. Down below, the white React midsole is then accented by teal and pink detailing, completing the mix of style and comfort.
