Eyewear Brand RETROSUPERFUTURE Has An Upcoming Vans Collaboration

Holding collaborations with notables like Off-White as well as streetwear institutions such as BAPE, RETROSUPERFUTURE is most certainly a name to know. And while their many works stretch the imagination of what can be done with simple eyewear frames, they’ve yet to tackle any sort of footwear — that is, however, until now. Diving headfirst in their surprising partnership with Anaheim’s very own Vans, the imprint is translating their striking minimalism and bold colors onto the Style 43 silhouette. Canvas constructions at the back are familiar and typical material-wise, yet the removal of the heel counter panelling creates a look plenty more sleek from the Authentic; toe boxes, in more textural contrast, prefer the thicker swathe of suede fabrications with vibrant type spelling out the brand name itself. Soles, which are just slightly transparent, either don a deep purple underneath a black upper or neon green underneath a subtle eggshell though the “RETROSUPERFUTURE” at their sides is surely as overt on both. Grab a detailed look at both colorways right here and find them rolling out to select retailers come September 13th.
