Not averse to Vans, COMME des GARÇONS continues its collaboration-heavy momentum with yet another take on the Authentic silhouette. Though of the same vein as the previous, the Japanese label’s latest is one met with all-over prints once again though stylized as scribbles than anything screen print. Forgoing the maximal “CDG” type in perpetuity, the uppers see to various slogans of the brand’s history, defacing it in contrast boldface with half-hearted formations of “WEAR YOUR FREEDOM” and “MY ENERGY COMES FROM FREEDOM” all throughout. Otherwise, the pair is mostly toned down and neutral with white bases and matching sole units seemingly ripped from a Vans Vault shelf.
