Elliot Santiago With the exception of the silhouette’s aggressive (and successful) collaboration with UNDERCOVER earlier this year, the Nike Daybreak for the most part stays true to its original constructions only making subtle alterations in the form of color swaps. However, the classic model has decided to switch things up a bit this month with a little experimentation, arriving in two new makeovers set with various fabrications. The first keeps its lower portions to a standard leather, but brings in some adventurous personality by way of added snakeskin and gingham patterns applied to the throat and heels. The second takes its material transitions to the mid-foot by outfitting its panels in grey wool infused with tiny hits of blue and red accents reminiscent of a holiday appropriate cashmere sweater. The throat is also changed up slightly offering a canvas build that is stitched into multiple segments as you travel up from the laces back towards the rear.
