In the way of both sneakers and outdoors gear, GORE-TEX is a huge selling point — especially when it dresses the likes of ACG classics and mainstays such as the Air Force 1. And though the latter has previously explored a vast set of colorways in the weather resistant get-up, it’s soon to see yet another appearance in palettes more akin to the outdoors than the city landscape it originally seemed more accustomed to.
Colored ostensibly with the trail in mind, the pair ushers in a dark breadth of muddy earth tones. Its construction, which makes use of Sail midsoles and black treads as starting point, quickly outfits atop with a paneling replete of two brown shades: lighter pigments line the base in mesh as well as the lace unit and lining while the overlays darken by a large margin in their leather polish. Branding, seen at both the tongue and lateral heel, then further nods to GORE-TEX as the namesake sprawls in bolder, tan thread.
