Nike Is Bringing Back The Original Air Penny 3 “Black/Royal”

feature image

Following the announcement of its revival, the Nike Air Penny 3 is poised to add yet another retro colorway to its return: the classic “Black/Royal.”

Far more straightforward than the “Eggplant” revealed a few months ago, the two-part scheme mostly makes use of its neutral half. Black tumbled leathers will dress much of the construction as it once did, while the emblem along the profile and the Air Unit below subtly contrast in white, see-through finishes. Robust shells then dress adjacent across the profile, sculpted with a dark texture that leans more towards anthracite. Royal tones weave their way in parallel, subtly coated across the sole as well as the tongue.

For reference, grab a look at the older pair here; the release of the 2020 update is likely to hit Nike.com and select retailers come November 20th.

In other news, the Air Jordan 1 Mid Carbon Fiber is releasing next year for All-Star Weekend.

Updated November 10th, 2020: Official images of the Nike Air Penny 3 “Royal” have surfaced.
