The Nike D/MS/X Waffle Reappears In Brighter Hues Fit For Warmer Months

The Nike D/MS/X Waffle Reappears In Brighter Hues Fit For Warmer Months

Among the top global players in the sneaker space, NIKE, Inc. is arguably the most adept at taking heritage design and updating it for modern (sometimes future) times. Its N.354 sub-label is dedicated to this art form, and one of the examples of a successful job is the Nike D/MS/X Waffle.

Reminiscent of the Nike Sting from 1978, the model features a split upper: the forefoot is covered in suede, while the midfoot and much of the heel boasts a breathable, see-through mesh construction. As with inaugural pairs, the forthcoming proposition indulges in a vibrant palette throughout its trainer-inspired top-half. Tooling underfoot, however, dons eye-catching neon green accents that compete and simultaneously work with the orange and blue tones on the upper. The chunky white midsole and its accompanying black waffle pattern tread round out the retro look.

An official release date is still unknown, but this pair is likely to quietly launch on Nike.com soon.

Elsewhere under the Swoosh umbrella, the Air Max Plus II is emerging in a slew of new colorways.
