All-Star 2021 has already proved itself to be eventful in the way of sneaker releases. Alongside the commemorative Dunk High and Air Jordan 1 Low, the event will possibly debut with the Kobe 6 Protro “All-Star.”
First released in 2011, the colorway celebrates both the Black Mamba himself as well as Los Angeles, the exhibition game’s host city that year. A fitting celebration of the athlete’s MVP title, the pair starts first with a bold snakeskin texture, each scale coated in red as it wraps the forefoot in near entirety. Underneath, a subtle gradient further accents, embellished over top with the aforementioned as well as a more unassuming white swoosh. Elsewhere, supports along the heel dress down in black shade, matching that of the midsole as well as the tongue and lining above.
For a peek at the 2021 version, see here. If all goes well, a release should be on the way for early 2021, possibly February if All-Star avoids postponement.
In other news, the J Balvin Air Jordan 1 is landing this week.
Updated February 4th, 2021: A U.S. release date has been scheduled for February 20th, 2021.
