To let Matthew M. Williams‘ collaborations go to waste would be a big shame. The Nike Zoom MMW 04’s design, while divisive, is a brutalist form we rarely see — and thanks to the brand’s kindness, the silhouette will thankfully appear once more in a new brown colorway.
Things start rather familiar, with a blacked out midsole and matching lace unit. The side’s metallic supports glimmer in a darker finish, while the mesh and synthetic base opts for the aforementioned earth tone. And while tans and creams may be popular as of late, the palette here opts for a darker, muddy shade that’s more befitting the ALYX name.
