The Typically-Made In Japan New Balance 1700 Appears In Classic “Steel Blue”

Historically confined to Japan’s borders, the New Balance 1700 is set to arrive at select U.S.A.-based retailers in the brand’s iconic “Steel Blue” colorway.

A high-quality mix of pig suede, perforated leather and mesh make up the model’s upper, with most of the most former two materials indulging in a greyish brown tone. Panels at the toe box and upper heel deviate from their muted surroundings in a much more vibrant blue hue; profile “N” logos are outlined by the most vibrant shade of this titular color. “MADE IN USA” text lands on the top of the tongue, with “1700” figures appearing at the lateral heel. Underfoot, the revolutionary-for-1999 ABZORB, ENCAP and C-CAP cushioning system opts for a color palette that complements the top-half well.

Enjoy images of the New Balance sneaker here below, as you wait for a launch at select shops come October 15th.
