Michael Le The Waffle One has very quickly become one of Nike’s best GRs. In the time since its debut, we’ve seen the silhouette dressed a number of ways, swapping out its materials just as often as its colors. This pair, even despite the variety before it, still stands out, delivering an assembly rare even for the brand.
Color-wise, the shoe leans towards primaries only in seldom. Red dresses the heel, blue the upper edge of the tongue, and yellow the Velcro-covered Swoosh. And the latter is not here purely for aesthetic reasons; patches, too, arrive packed in the box, offering a large, comic-styled letter “N.” Adjacent, the white tumbled leather overlays are a bit more familiar, though the same cannot be said for the matching base underneath, which opts for a rib knit.
