Upon its initial debut, the Converse Aeon Active CX produced little to no fanfare; but now that A-COLD-WALL has since released their collaborative version, the silhouette’s first inline colorways — such as this upcoming “Bone” make-up — will surely enjoy some time in the spotlight.
Deviating from Samuel Ross’ vision, the GR Aeon Active CX lacks the recycled Crater Foam, opting for a much cleaner look across the midsole. Creams and lighter, more desaturated shades are used throughout said fixture, complementing the upper’s complex paneling, which is also distinct from ACW’s interpretation of the shoe. And though visually futuristic, with its mix of leathers, mesh, and synthetic, this construction is made more palatable thanks to its simple, neutral-dominant palette.
