The Jordan Brand Classic Mints Tatum 2, Zion 3 and Luka 2 PEs

We’re just a couple days away from the tip-off of the 2024 Jordan Brand Classic. Boasting All-World alumni like LeBron James, Kevin Durant and Carmelo Anthony, the varsity talent showcase descends on Brooklyn for its 20th edition this Sunday. Most notable for our part, however, are the PE editions minted for the occasion, this time bringing three of their current spotlight models in on the celebration.

The @slam post that introduced these colorways cast pairs of the Luka 2, Zion 3 and Tatum 2 over iconic NYC basketball vistas; Rucker Park, Dyckman and Houston St. all featured prominently. Much as they mesh well with street-level scenery, the inspiration behind each pair seems to come from more overarching tri-state themes.

The Zion 3 on display is clad from heel to tie in vibrant aquamarine, instantly calling to mind the Statue of Liberty. Thinking more broadly, reflective skyscraper glass also presents as a likely touchpoint. The Luka 2 wears a flashy gradient on its graphic overlays, spotlighting shades of red and green in a traffic light like arrangement. Finally, the Tatum 2 is outfitted in 90’s inspired shades of neon green, purple, aquamarine and peach. Given past “Electric Green” and “Vortex” versions, the Celtic star’s signature stays closest to its mainline here. Those high-octane hits over the snowed-in upper create a standout edition all the same. As a final conceptual tie, the tongues on all three alternate between their typical Jumpman and a special edition “Jordan Brand Classic” crest.

While these will almost assuredly never get a public release, the athletes taking the floor at the Jordan Brand classic will be outfitted in these PE editions. Take a look at detailed images included below.

On a more accessible Jordan Release Dates 2024 note, the Air Jordan 1 “Gym Red” debuts next week.
