Retro silhouettes are having a bit of moment right now — especially Nike’s. From as far back as early 2020, the brand has revived many a past icon, and they’re poised to keep up that momentum with new releases of the Air Total Max Uptempo.
Clothed primarily in neutrals, the pair covers much of its side wall in the titular metal. The polished, greyed finishes add a premium touch from top to bottom, dressing even the midsole alongside the stitched, slightly quilted leathers. Immediately adjacent, black nubucks wrap the toe and eyestay, while the back portion of the collar and the tongue contrast texturally in what looks to be ballistic mesh. Jewel Swooshes, then, embed into the profile, “AIR” insignia stencils along the sole’s further cushioned heel, and the tongue emblem adds even further late 90s flavor.

In other news, the Dunk Low Wolf Grey is coming this week.
