Michael Le If you were to ask TikTok, they’d probably say that the Tearaway Air Force 1 is one of Nike’s best releases bar none. They’d also be extremely happy to see that the model is on its way back, dressing up in bright yellows and greens right in time for Spring.
Fresh out of the box, the offering starts as previous iterations have. White, synthetic exteriors cover the construction in entirety, displaying subtle wrinkling and light graphic work throughout. The Swoosh, for instance, dots its edges in black paint to match the scissors adjacent that incite you to get cutting. These motifs are furthered at the vamp whose “TEAR HERE” text commands you in clearer terms. Once the layers are finally peeled back, the true colorway begins to reveal: a palette whose mid-panel and swoosh hue yellow, while light Volts dress the eyestay, tongue label, and insole.
