With React currently at the forefront, it’s likely many — especially new sneakerheads — have forgotten all about Free Run. Defined by its flexible sole, the tech was once center stage of the running category, dressing multiple shoes for quite a few years. Among those, the Free Run Trail stood near the peak, and it’s due to make its way back to us in this new greyscale colorway.
In its general look, the upper bears a passing resemblance to older APC collaborations. The premium, somewhat hairy suede upper tinges in a grey yet warm-tinted finish, providing a somewhat luxurious aesthetic. Underneath, the mesh patterns with many a darker neutral spot, an execution that could very well reference the Moon Landing graphic that once dressed the Air Max 90 Lunar quite a few years back. White, then, dresses the side Swoosh, tooling, Ripstop lining, and the cross patch at the tongue.
