Currently in its 30th year on the market, the Nike Air Huarache continues to remind sneaker enthusiasts everywhere of Tinker Hatfield’s genius. In addition to returning in original colorways, the sandal-inspired design has also emerged in retro, 1990s-appropriate styles. Case in point: A predominantly-“White” pair featuring “Concord”-reminiscent neoprene material.
Akin to the model’s inaugural “Scream Green” arrangement, the forthcoming pair boasts a “colorless” midsole, toe box and mix of synthetic leather overlays throughout the forefoot and along the profiles. Eye-catching color comes into the picture via the perforated vamp, which indulges in a purplish hue. A light blue complements the neoprene material from mid-foot to spine, also covering the inner lining; it’s last appearance arrives in the form of an opaque “NIKE”-branded rail at the heel. Underfoot, outsoles nod to the original Nike Waffle propositions with both their tread pattern and black composition.
