As Expected, The Air Max 97 Joins Nike’s “First Use” Pack

Nike Sportswear hasn’t officially announced its “First Use” collection, which commemorates the debut of the iconic swoosh logo, but it’s put together handfuls of pairs under the thematic banner. Now joining the mix is the Nike Air Max 97.

Akin to other propositions within the commemorative lineup, the upcoming sneaker indulges in a simple off-white color scheme across much of its upper. Bottom-most vamp overlays, however, feature vintage “nike” branding clad in a vibrant scarlet tone. The same color animates miniature swooshes on the mid-foot, as well as the Nike Air Max unit visible at the midsole and outsole. Hits of blue also enter the mix, but play a supporting role in the arrangement. Lastly, different iterations of Carolyn Davidson’s recognizable design appear on the insole; the date on which her logo debuted is printed on the medial profile.

Enjoy official images of the latest entry to the “First Use” collection here below, and anticipate this Air Max 97 to hit Nike.com before summer ends.
