With the Tokyo Olympics officially underway, Nike is feeling extra patriotic, offering colorways brimming with pride for Team USA. Even the Little Posite One is joining in on the fun, though it does so through what appears to be an astronautical lens.
At a glance, the pair seems nothing more than a celebration of its own country. White exterior walls, with its matching eye stays, midsole, and lining, set up the alternating hits of red and blue that dress the entire lace unit. But atop the heel tab and lower midfoot, references to the moon shine a different light on the shoe’s presumed theme. The latter features a grey print identical to the natural satellite’s surface, while the basketball shaped, anthropomorphic logo along the former takes the phrase “Man on the Moon” quite literally.
