Over-branding continues to be one of Nike’s most commonly used tools. And atop silhouettes like the Air Force 1, the brand is quick to experiment, sizing up and down the logo in all sorts of ways. Here, the shoe proposes yet another design, one well-replete with mini checks.
“Sail” is applied front and center, dressing the tumbled leathers along the toe cap, eye stay, heel, and Swoosh. Underneath and below, however, the pair opts for a white finish far more pristine, directly contrasting the vintage feel of the overlays adjacent. What’s more, the upper’s all-over print of mini-Swooshes is also quite modern — especially so when you factor in its reflective treatment.
Enjoy an official look at the pair below and sit tight for its release at Nike.com and select retailers.
